You just cannot come to Tampa without spending a day—or at least an afternoon—at the Lowry Park Zoo. This attraction has been rated not only as a top Tampa attraction, but also as a top zoo in the United States.
MOSI—or the Museum of Science & Industry—is a perfect attraction for families looking for something to do on a rainy day. (Although the museum is fantastic no matter what the weather!) You can enjoy numerous exhibits, spend some time at the planetarium, or even catch an IMAX movie.

A Tampa visitor-favorite for viewing exotic felines up close is none other than Big Cat Rescue. What began as a concerned citizen wanting to save exotic cats from misuse or neglect has expanded into one of the largest animal rescue efforts in the area. You can learn more about Big Cat Rescue and even take a tour to see the beautiful creatures up close!
