Upcoming Events at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo

Any day at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is a good day. You can enjoy animal exhibits, creature encounters, fun activities, and more almost any day of the year. However, at Carl’s Van Rentals, we encourage you to consider pairing your zoo trip with one of their fun events. Here are a few of our favorites that are coming up in 2017.

Feast with the Beasts (April)

Geared for adults ages 21 and over, Feast with the Beasts is Lowry Park Zoo’s annual beer, food, and wine festival. You can enjoy food and beverages from some of Tampa’s top restaurants, dance under the stars, and (of course) explore the creatures of the zoo as well as the moving, life-size dinosaur replicas from Dinos Alive!. Feast with the Beasts takes place on April 1-2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunset Celebration (July)

On select evenings throughout the month of July, the zoo extends its hours and lets families and individuals explore during the evening hours. Families will love seeing the animals at night, and adults can enjoy sipping beverages at the wine and beer garden or relaxing to the music performed by local bands. The zoo staff ends each evening with a great light show.

Creatures of the Night (October)

A popular Tampa activity leading up to Halloween, Creatures of the Night is a family-friendly event that allows guests to enjoy the spooky, creepy nature of the season. Families can enjoy the zoo’s regular features as well as a few scary (but not gory) surprises along the way.

Christmas in the Wild (December)

Lowry Park Zoo unveils its brand-new Christmas-themed event this year. Christmas in the Wild promises beautiful holiday lights, food, fun, and more. This event takes place on 19 different nights during the month of December, so if you’re in town, be sure to catch at least one.
