1. Oleta River State Park

As the largest urban park in Florida, Oleta River State Park has some great off-the-beach fun available to you. You can go hiking, canoeing, or even take a picnic out on the beach. Be sure to also keep your eyes open for local wildlife.

2. Miami Dolphins

Are you a sports enthusiast? Be sure to check out a Miami Dolphins home game, if you’re here in season. If you’re around during the pre-season, see whether you can catch the team’s training camp, where certain sessions are free and open to the public.

3. Zoo Miami

Who doesn’t love a trip to the zoo? Check out over 500 creatures from around the world, including koalas, camels, and giraffes. Zoo Miami is open year-round and great for all ages.

4. Miami Seaquarium

Sea lions and dolphins and whales—oh my! Check out Miami’s very own adventure aquarium, full of fun activities for everyone. At the Miami Seaquarium, you can check out a live killer whale show, get up close to a dolphin, or learn more about what lives beneath the ocean.

5. Jungle Island

Get up close to animals from around the world at Jungle Island. This attraction has been a Miami staple since it first opened as Parrot Jungle in 1936. Come see all the animals, including orangutans, tigers, and more for yourself.
