Even with 2020’s social distancing realities, St. Petersburg still has plenty to offer visitors. Thanks to the great weather Tampa Bay enjoys, outdoor attractions are the perfect way to experience Florida. And no matter where you go around the St. Petersburg area, Carl’s Van Rentals has an affordable minivan or van rental for you. Here are two special places in St. Petersburg where you can social distance and have a great time!
The Sunken Gardens is the oldest museum in St. Petersburg. With doors open for over 100 years, it’s a popular place that both visitors and residents can enjoy. Take at look at their Facebook page for updates before you go, but they are open to visitors right now. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll enjoy:
Whether you’re there for education or just the beautiful scenery, a trip to the Sunken Gardens is never wasted. The Sunken Gardens is located in the Historic Old Northeast district of St. Petersburg. Just north of downtown, you can easily make a trip to the Sunken Gardens as part of a trip to the heart of the city. For additional driving information, admission details, hours, and more, be sure to check out the Sunken Gardens website for the most up-to-date info.
This 249-acre park in south St. Petersburg is located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. It offers hiking trails, an aviary, and beautiful views of St. Petersburg. Although the nature center currently is closed, the trails are open for visitors. A small fee ($3/adults, $1.50/kids, free/kids under age 3) helps maintain the variety of ecosystems that are supported at the preserve.
To travel to the Sunken Gardens, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, and to other parts of the greater St. Pete area, consider renting a van from Carl’s. We have a wide selection of minivans, passenger vans, and more. Plus, we have regular rental specials that make our already affordable vans nearly irresistible.
