Foodies unite! If you’re looking for an Orlando dining experience unlike any other, we at Carl’s Van Rentals suggest an Orlando Food Tour. Each tour is unique and gives you an excellent sampling of Central Florida’s top local eateries. Here’s how it works.
A few friends with a mutual love for local food created the tour company after years of exploring the city. Orlando Food Tours wants you to experience the best of the city when it comes to dining. To meet that goal, the company’s food and drink enthusiasts have specially selected each stop on the walking tour. For a price of $47 per person, you get 2 ½ to 3 hours of food and beverages, as well as a guide who can give you more history of the area. The food tour is great for visitors wanting a local experience and for new Florida residents looking to get to know their new city.
While you may need a van rental to get there, the tour itself is done on foot. Most tours walk to five to seven locations, and you get a food sampling at each stop. The amount of food you consume altogether will equal a satisfying meal, plus walking in between each venue helps you burn energy so you’re ready to refuel. Tours are offered most weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. You must purchase tickets to reserve your spot, and Orlando Food Tours recommends that you purchase food-tour tickets in advance.
The food tour itself is all done on foot over the course of about a mile and a half. You get to enjoy a bit of exercise (so wear comfortable shoes!) while you sample Orlando’s finest.
If you’re in need of a van rental to get to the food-tour location in Winter Park, contact Carl’s Van Rentals at (718) 353-6848. From minivan rentals to passenger van rentals, we can accommodate food-tour groups of any size. Check out our van rentals, and be sure to browse our current van rental specials.
