Family Fun in West Palm Beach

You’ve finally arrived at your much-anticipated West Palm Beach family getaway. 1. Go on an animal adventure at Palm Beach Zoo.

Kids always love a trip to the zoo! Check out the animal exhibits, visit the gift shop, and explore the gardens (complete with a rainforest area). You can easily make a day or half-day trip to the Palm Beach Zoo.

2. Take a drive along the coast.

All parents have been there from time to time—the kids are tired, and you need them to take a nap. Often, nothing can help little ones nod off more than a nice car ride. Hop in your minivan, and take a drive up the coast to Jupiter, FL, or south to Delray Beach or Boca Raton. You can enjoy the sites and the silence as your kids snooze.

3. Get hands-on with science and nature.

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium makes a great day-trip idea. Here you can enjoy hands-on science exhibits, explore Atlantic aquatic creatures, or even go on a space adventure at the planetarium. The Science Center is great for kids and adults of all ages.

4. Try out a new watersport.

If your kids are a little older, consider trying out a watersport rental. You can find many places along West Palm Beach to rent a jet ski, paddle board, or even a kayak. If you’re super adventurous, you could also consider parasailing.

5. See a manatee up close.

A new and FREE attraction in West Palm Beach is Manatee Lagoon. These creatures are unique to the area and are quite exquisite to see up close. Parents and kids will love this fun and educational experience.
