Orlando FL AttractionsMost people automatically associate Orlando, FL, with Disney World—and rightly so. For years, this theme park has been a magnet for Florida visitors. However, if you’re looking for some non-Disney things to do in Orlando, our crew at Carl’s Van Rentals recommends that you give these three local attractions a try.

1. Discovery Cove

Are you looking for an up-close encounter with some marine life? Maybe you’ve always wanted to swim with the dolphins. Well, you’re in luck. Discovery Cove is Orlando’s destination for all kinds of animal encounters and educational experiences. Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort that’s great for families.

2. Moss Park

If you’re searching for some green space, perhaps to let your kids or dogs run around for a bit, check out Moss Park. This 1,500-acre park has a number of places to play and things to do. You can bring a picnic, take a walk, play volleyball, go swimming, enjoy the playground, and even camp overnight in case you’re traveling by RV. It’s very affordable, costing a car load no more than $5 admission, so you can go for an hour or for the day without feeling like you need to get your money’s worth.

3. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art

Looking for something way off the Disney trail? Consider spending an afternoon at this Orlando-area art museum. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art houses beautiful displays of American works of art, including pottery, paintings, decorative arts, and more. Public admission is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with limited hours on Sundays.

You don’t have to spend a long time in Orlando to realize we have much more to offer outside the magic of Disney.

For all your Orlando travels, you can rely on Carl’s Van Rentals for all your rental needs. We have minivans, passenger vans, and more, just ready to help you explore the area. To find out more or to make a reservation, contact us today at (407) 856-8866.
