Little Talbot Island State Park

This island is located a little less than 20 miles northeast of Jacksonville, making for an easy drive in your rental van from Carl’s Van Rentals. There is a wide range of activities available throughout the park including the following:

While at the park, you may see river otters, marsh rabbits, bobcats, or a variety of birds. If you’re fishing, look for bluefish, striped bass, redfish, flounder, mullet and sheepshead.

Admission is $5 per vehicle or $4 if there’s only one occupant in a vehicle. Pedestrians and bicyclists cost $2 to enter the park. Camping is $24 per night which includes water and electricity.

Big Talbot Island State Park

This island is located immediately north of Little Talbot Island State Park. The park is known for being an ideal location for photography. The breathtaking scenery will make for impressive photos, whether you’re an amateur or an expert.

Hiking on the nature trails is a great family activity for enjoying the beauty of the park. Imagine a relaxing day in the sun in Florida without the frustration of popular tourist beaches.

To access the fishing pier, admission is $2 per person. A fee of $3 is charged per vehicle to enter the picnic area, and usage of the boat launch is $4.
