West Palm Beach AttractionsThe African plains aren’t the only place you can go to get the safari experience. While it may not be the Serengeti, you can enjoy seeing wildlife up close at Lion Country Safari—located just outside West Palm Beach, FL. But don’t forget your van rental! Lion Country Safari is Florida’s only drive-through safari experience, and you won’t want to miss it.

The driving safari is divided into several different sections where you can see different animals. You can enjoy seeing ostrich and wildebeest on the Serengeti Plains area, or an alpaca or tortoise in Las Pampas. In total, you can visit seven different areas that include the ones we’ve already mentioned as well as:

  • Ruaha National Park
  • Kalahari Bushueldt
  • Gir Forest
  • Gorongosa Reserve
  • Hwange National Park

If you plan on driving through the reserve, plan to allow at least an hour and a half to see all four miles of it. However, we recommend that you also get out of that minivan and check out some of their attractions on foot. These SafariWorld walking exhibits include:

  • Animal exhibits
  • Entertainment
  • Shopping
  • Dining
  • And more

You could easily spend five or more hours at Lion Country Safari. It’s one of the more unique attractions you’ll find in the West Palm Beach area. To find out more, check out their website.
