5 Tips for Planning Your Disney Vacation

If you and your family are bound for Orlando, there’s a good chance you want to make your way to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” At Carl’s Van Rentals of Orlando, we don’t blame you. To be this close to Walt Disney World and not get to experience it for yourself would be torture. So as you make your plans to do Disney, keep a few of these tips in mind.

1. Determine how many days you plan to stay.

Disney practically needs its own zip code. It’s huge. So if you aren’t sure how you want to spend your time, first determine how much time you have. From there, read about all that Disney World offers, and choose what looks most appealing to you. If you’ve never been there before, you may want to start with the quintessential Magic Kingdom experience.

2. Set your budget ahead of time.

You can easily go broke at Disney, so set your budget before you get out your wallet. Determine how much you will pay for admission, food, experiences, souvenirs, and so on. That way, you have the money you need to experience Disney the way you want, and you can still afford that minivan rental to get back to the hotel.

3. Get the scoop.

If it’s your first time visiting Disney World, you may want to do a test run before trying to get to ALL the attractions. Another good idea is to ask a friend or family member who has made several trips to Disney what they recommend in terms of what to see, where to stay, and which “extras” are worth the time and money. Ask for all the insider info.

4. Consider your companions.

The ages and interests of your kids or other travel companions may dictate where you go inside Disney. If you have kiddos who love animals, then spend a day at Animal Kingdom. If you want time to splash and enjoy the hot Florida weather, then consider one of the Disney water parks: Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.

5. Take your time.

We understand that Disney is expensive for large families, or you may have time for only a day or two. You want to make the most of your visit. However, we do encourage you not to kill yourself by jamming too much into a short time. You’re better off enjoying quality over quantity and soak in the memories.

For all your travels to and from Disney, let Carl’s Van Rentals help you get there in a reliable, affordable van rental. You can choose from a wide range of rentals, including comfortable and convenient minivans or spacious 15-passenger vans.
