5 Tampa Restaurants only a Minivan Rental Ride Away

So you have your crew piled into your Tampa minivan rental, but you can’t decide where to eat out? Carl’s Van Rentals of Tampa has you covered. If you’re looking for some local eateries that are family friendly and nearby, check out these 5 restaurants. We have included a variety of cuisines, in case you’re looking for a particular type of food.

1. Square 1 Burgers

If you’re looking for a really great burger, choose Tampa’s Square 1 Burgers. Even if you don’t do beef, they offer vegan, portobello mushroom, turkey, buffalo, and more! Square 1 also has an extensive menu of other options, including soups, salads, sandwiches, wings, and more. They even have a special “For the Small Fry” menu that’s great for kids.

2. The Spaghetti Warehouse

Fans of fresh, Italian food will want to try The Spaghetti Warehouse. Located on 13th Street in Tampa, they aim to give guests a fun, at-home atmosphere and really great Italian food. The Spaghetti Warehouse is home of the “15-layer lasagne” as well as other great dishes, like Fire-Grilled Salmon with Roasted Vegetables or Grilled Chicken Alfredo.

3. EVOS

For fast, healthy, and oh-so-tasty American food, try EVOS, a local fast-food chain unlike any other. This ain’t your regular Burger King. EVOS is selective with each of its ingredients, choosing only naturally raised beef and other organic products. While good ingredients come with a price, EVOS customers walk away with good food fast. And fans of EVOS say it’s worth the few extra bucks.

4. Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza

Is it pizza night? Located in downtown Tampa, Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza strives to give you that authentic New York pizza experience. (They pride themselves on importing NY water specially for their crust.) You can dine in at their Tampa location, or choose carry out in case you want to take your pizza back to the hotel or condo.

5. The Rusty Pelican

For a seafood meal with a view, The Rusty Pelican is a great choice for Tampa’s visiting families. You can choose from fresh catch or oysters, then have them prepared in a variety of ways. For the non-seafood fan, The Rusty Pelican does have other traditional American dishes like soup, salad, and steak. Note that The Rusty Pelican is on the higher end of the price range (regular entrees priced from $26-$48 and soups/salads between $6-$18), so you may want to save it for a special night out.
