Discover St. Petersburg’s Sunken Gardens

Amongst the beaches, the golf courses, the great restaurants, and museums is a treasure of St. Petersburg: the Sunken Gardens. Rated by TripAdvisor as one of the top ten things to do in St. Petersburg, the Sunken Gardens gives you an experience quite unlike anything else in the area. Our staff at Carl’s Van Rentals recommend that if you have a few hours, enjoy some time at these historical botanical gardens.

About the Sunken Gardens

The Sunken Gardens is the oldest museum in St. Petersburg. With doors open for over 100 years, it’s proven to be a popular and worthy attraction both visitors and residents can enjoy. Some of its main attractions include:

  • Lush tropical gardens with some plants about as old as the garden itself
  • Cascading waterfalls
  • Habitat for one of Florida’s most famous birds, the flamingo
  • Regular events and interactive exhibits
  • And more

Whether you’re there for education or just the beautiful scenery, a trip to the Sunken Gardens is never wasted.
