A Day Out at the Jacksonville Zoo

Are you looking for something to do in the Jacksonville, FL, area? Whether you’re an animal lover or have kids in tow, our staff at Carl’s Van Rentals encourage you to check out the Jacksonville Zoo.

Attractions

The Jacksonville Zoo is split into two main exhibits: the animals and the gardens. You can see creatures from East Africa to Australia up close, including storks, rhinoceros, emu, wallabies, and much more. In recent years, the zoo made a change to become a place for people to learn to love not only animals but also plants. Therefore, be sure to check out the garden exhibits. Other zoo attractions you will want to explore include restaurants, gift shop, splash park, train rides, and more. You can find plenty to do to fill a day.

Events

The zoo also features four major events throughout the calendar year, including Brew at the Zoo, Spooktacular, Pokemon GO After Dark, and Guest Appreciation Week. Before you plan your zoo trip, find out whether any of the special events are happening so you can be sure to catch them.

Admission Info

The Jacksonville Zoo is open every day (except Christmas) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ticket prices range from $17.95 for adults to free admission for children ages two and under, and parking is free! You can also check out the Jacksonville Zoo website for info on special pricing and purchasing your tickets.
