When you think of Florida vacation destinations, “Titusville” may not be the first coastal city that comes to mind. This FL gem holds quite a few historical and entertaining pieces of Florida past and present. We at Carl’s Van Rentals urge you not to discount Titusville until you’ve discovered what is has to offer.

Our previous post on Titusville highlighted the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Museum, the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and the American Police Hall of Fame. Today we bring you three more Titusville attractions—within about 20 minutes of nearby Port Canaveral.

Canaveral National Seashore

Located right in Titusville, the Canaveral National Seashore is known as being a refuge. You can swim in calmer Florida waters, and maybe even catch a sea turtle coming up to build its nest. The shoreline has multiple recreational opportunities, including fishing, a walk along the beach, or a hike down a wooded trail.

Titusville Municipal Marina

The city marina of Titusville is a great place to go if you want to check out some boats and enjoy a taste of marine life. Visiting the marina won’t cost you a thing, and kids will love watching the boats come and go! If you’re lucky, you may even spot a manatee along the seawall. You can find many restaurants within walking distance of the marina.

Kennedy Space Center

Just next door to Titusville is the renowned Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. You can experience the thrill of a shuttle launch, interact with an astronaut, or get to know more about space travel in one of the IMAX experiences. This attraction is a favorite to many people who visit Titusville and the greater Port Canaveral area.
